ODOP: One District One Product

One District One Product (ODOP) initiative is aimed at fostering balanced regional development across all districts of the country. The initiative aims to select, brand, and promote at least One Product from each District (One District – One Product) of the country for enabling holistic socioeconomic growth across all regions. The ODOP Initiative has identified a total of 1102 products from 761 districts across the country.
The idea is to select, brand, and promote One Product from each District of the Madhya Pradesh

  • Preservation and development of local craft/skills and promotion of indigenous knowledge.
  • To promote local processing of agriculture and horticulture commodities.
  • To promote districts of the states as export hub.
  • To provide ecosystem for Innovation/ use of Technology at District level to make them competitive with domestic as well as international market.
In continuation to this, District Administration, Dindori is promoting the Kodu Kutki millet grains as the One District One Product from the district. Various measures are being taken by the District Administration to promote the production, processing of the Kodo Kutki. With the help of Tejaswini Selg help groups, Kodo Kutki based bakery products are being sold to public through various platforms.
